County Conveyors was set up by Terry and Sue Owen in 1987 and was run out of his garage and an old van. In 1992 we merged with Ryan Mechanical to become County Ryan Ltd. Phil Ryan pulled out in 1997 putting County Ryan back in family ownership with Terry at the helm. Some years later, two of Terry’s sons, Lewis and John, joined the business “on the tools” and are now very capable of ensuring the future of County Conveyors.
In 2008 the Owen brothers decided that they would like the company name that dad began – County Conveyors – to be revived. The latest addition to the team is Lewis’ wife, Sarah who joined us to take over the running of the accounts in June 2011.
Some things haven’t changed; our focus is, as always, on service and value. Of course our motto is: “When it’s up to quality, not down to price”. We are proud to offer not only the belting service that is the foundation of our company, but now include our matting division, specialising in a equine and agricultural rubber mats, and our range of mobile and portable conveyors.
