Hot vulcanising is the means of joining a belt by curing a rubber splice with a heated press, where as cold vulcanising is simply gluing the two ends together. Hot is a much better bond, but is limited sometimes as the press is a bulky piece of equipment and can't always be fitted to the machine
Belts, up to 2m wide, can either be fitted and joined on site, or we can supply a belt made endless in our workshop
We can also join PU and PVC belts
We are main distributors for Flexco, and carry a wide range of fasteners to suit most belt types and many different applications. For heavy industrial applications we have solid plate fasteners, bolt-hinge, and rivet-hinge. Lighter duty belts, such as PVC/PU can be joined with staple fasteners and hammer in types.
Belts can be jointed by us, or you can save money with DIY. We offer full installation training and equipment. If we have the exact length we can supply the belt with both ends prepared for you to fit the clips. With hinged joints, the belt can be supplied with the clips already in; all you do is fit the belt, and slide a pin through the joint
