New Conveyor Belt Clamps
Introducing our brand new Little Belter™ conveyor belt clamps, designed by us and made Britain.
We found that when using common alternatives for securing belts they all had flaws that prevented them being used in certain applications: G-clamps are bulky and don’t pull the belt squarely, whilst bar clamps cant be used on a troughed belt or where access is limited behind skirting.
Bespoke Design
So we set about designing a clamp that was compact and easy to attach with one hand in cramped conditions. We made it as low-profile as possible to prevent snagging. The slim design means the line of pull is along the belt preventing rippling. We’ve found them to be effective on belts between 5mm-18mm thick and will not slip or damage the belt under normal working tensions.
Usage
Whilst not designed to pull conveyor belts on and off, the Little Belter™ is perfect for clamping belt ends when performing a splice; whether that be vulcanised or mechanical fasteners. Four clamps can be used in conjunction with our Yale Handy Mini Pullers to tension the slack pulling the ends squarley together: this is ideal for fitting belts with a hinge type fastener as it takes the pressure off when sliding the pin through.
